Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how DTM SOLUTIONS LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use any of our mobile applications and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

This policy applies to all apps published by DTM SOLUTIONS LLC. Where a specific app has unique data practices, those are called out in the relevant sections below.

Data We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address — used for authentication, security alerts, and support
  • Display name — optional, user-provided
  • Password — stored as a one-way bcrypt hash; we never store your plaintext password

App-Specific Data

Each app may collect data specific to its function. Any data collected beyond the above will be disclosed within the app at the time of collection. For example, MyGarage+ collects vehicle details, maintenance records, and service history to provide its core functionality.

AI Features

Some apps include AI-powered features. Where present, messages and relevant context are transmitted to a third-party AI provider to generate responses. This is described in the AI section below.

Security & Device Data

  • Login history: IP address, user agent, and timestamp — used for security monitoring
  • Device fingerprints — used for new-device detection and account protection
  • App activity logs — used for debugging and service reliability

Usage Data

  • Anonymized, aggregated usage patterns used to improve our apps
  • No advertising identifiers, behavioral profiles, or cross-app tracking

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our apps and services
  • Power AI features with relevant context where applicable
  • Send transactional emails: verification codes, password resets, security alerts
  • Detect and prevent unauthorized access, fraud, and abuse
  • Debug technical issues and monitor service reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.

AI Features

Some DTM SOLUTIONS apps include AI-powered features. In MyGarage+, the AI mechanic "Darryl" is powered by OpenAI, and vehicle spec sheets are generated by Google Gemini. Users are shown an in-app disclosure and must provide explicit consent before any data is shared with AI providers.

What data is shared and with whom

  • OpenAI — When you chat with Darryl, your messages, your vehicle's make, model, year, category, and your maintenance history (service dates, types, mileage) are sent to OpenAI's API to generate personalized responses.
  • Google Gemini — When vehicle spec sheets are generated, the vehicle's make, model, year, and category are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate specification data.

What is NOT shared

  • Your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information is never sent to AI providers.
  • Your VIN number is never sent to AI providers.
  • Payment information is never sent to AI providers.

How AI data is used

  • Data is sent only to generate responses and specifications within the app.
  • Data sent to OpenAI via their API is not used for model training per their API data usage policy.
  • Data sent to Google Gemini is processed under Google's API terms of service.

Your control

  • You must explicitly consent to AI data sharing before using AI features.
  • If you do not consent, AI features (Darryl chat and spec generation) will not function, but all other app features remain available.
  • You can review what data has been shared by using the Data Export feature in Settings.

AI responses are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. Always verify important maintenance information with a qualified professional or your vehicle's owner's manual.

Do not share sensitive personal data (Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, passwords) in AI conversations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate our apps:

  • OpenAI — chat messages, vehicle info (make, model, year, category), and maintenance history shared to generate Darryl AI mechanic responses (see AI Features section)
  • Google — vehicle info (make, model, year, category) shared to generate AI spec sheets (see AI Features section)
  • Apple / RevenueCat — in-app purchase transactions processed through Apple's App Store; purchase receipts and subscription status shared with RevenueCat for subscription management
  • Stripe — payment processing for web-based purchases; billing information is handled directly by Stripe and not stored by DTM SOLUTIONS LLC
  • Resend — email address for transactional email delivery
  • Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and DDoS protection
  • Third-party public APIs — some apps query public data sources (e.g. NHTSA for vehicle recall data); no personal data is shared

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the public.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Passwords hashed with bcrypt — never stored in plaintext
  • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens and rotating refresh tokens
  • Rate limiting on all authentication and API endpoints
  • New device login detection with email alerts
  • Account lockout after repeated failed login attempts
  • Automated daily encrypted database backups

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@dtmsolutionsllc.com.

Cookies & Local Storage

MyGarage+ is a native iOS application and does not use browser cookies. Our website (dtmsolutionsllc.com) does not set tracking or advertising cookies.

The app uses device-local storage (iOS Keychain and app sandbox storage) solely to cache your session token and user preferences. This data never leaves your device except as part of normal authenticated API requests to our servers.

Data Retention & Deletion

  • Account and vehicle data — retained until you delete your account
  • Maintenance records — retained until deleted individually or account is deleted
  • AI conversations — retained until cleared by you or account is deleted
  • App activity logs — retained on a rolling 90-day basis; permanently deleted when your account is deleted
  • Login history (IP, user agent, timestamp) — retained on a rolling 90-day basis; permanently deleted when your account is deleted

When you delete your account via the Settings page, all associated data is permanently and irrecoverably removed from our active database. Encrypted backups are automatically rotated and overwritten within 60 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — all your data is visible in the app at any time
  • Export — download all your personal data (vehicles, maintenance records, AI conversations, settings) as a JSON file via Settings → Your Data → Export My Data. Maintenance records can also be exported as PDF.
  • Correct — edit vehicle details, records, and your display name at any time in the app
  • Delete — delete individual records, vehicles, or your entire account from the Settings page

To exercise rights not available directly in the app, or to submit a data request, email privacy@dtmsolutionsllc.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

MyGarage+ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. To report a concern, email privacy@dtmsolutionsllc.com.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we collect and how it is used
  • Request deletion of personal data we hold
  • Opt out of sale of personal data — DTM SOLUTIONS LLC does not sell personal data
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights

Submit California privacy requests to privacy@dtmsolutionsllc.com with subject line "California Privacy Request."

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email before changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
